Refugee Resettlement Watch

Here we go again!  The US State Department is inviting public comment on how many refugees/from where should be resettled in the US in the next fiscal year which begins October 1, 2014.

Your testimony will be addressed to Anne C.Richard, Asst. Secretary of State for PRM shown here with Hillary.

Longtime followers of RRW know that in the past couple of years we have flooded the State Department with critical testimony, while the majority of the give-us-more-refugees crowd was comprised almost exclusively of the contractorswho gain financially from each refugee resettled (they are paid by the head).

Here are the pertinent facts about the upcoming opportunity to comment:

Sent in comments. We especially don’t need more Somalis in an area where black unemployment is already shamefully higher than white and even Hispanic unemployment.

  2. asmoday20 says:

Why do we have to take people from Myanmar who will never assimilate because 20-30 have died in in a “local” problem? How many have died in Chicago or East St. Louis because of our own homegrown sectarian violence?
Instead of these western countries taking refugees, how about we do refugee trades? We take a couple from Myanmar, they take some from Chicago. Only seems fair.
The racial balance of the majority remains the same and we appear to give a crap about refugees because deep down that’s really all these aid societies want–to appear morally superior.
Lord knows they don’t really care or follow up on their new pets once the accolades stop rolling in.
