Excellent, that’ll hinder too much sword waving.

  2. Bad Mr. Frosty says:

All the 5th generation planes are nothing more than pork-barrel spending. Billion upon billions and they don’t even work. For a fraction of the cost we could have upgraded and maintained our current fleet and fielded a much more capable force. It breaks my heart so see them mothballing some of the best planes man has ever built and replace them with flying turds.

  3. TabuLa Raza says:

    “. . .we could have. . .”

WE?? Do you still think the POS fedgov represents US at all?

Yes, it is pork. Proved necessary by Scientific Economic Theory- to keep the economy from crashing. [the economies of various special interests must be

    • pluto the dog says:

Its not about place any more – its about race, we are wedded to our white brothers and sisters everywhere, the countries where we live have been overun and are NO LONGER OURS.

    • Bad Mr. Frosty says:

I was really into military airplanes when I was a kid. By “we” I mean the bankster’s legions, old habit to refer to US military equipment as “ours”.

  4. Anon says:

the f35 is an all around terrible craft, designed by committee to be an all in wonder. Instead it is not stealth, can perform the air superiority role, can’t bomb(thanks to the stealth issue)and likely will have serious shortcomings with other mission profiles as well.

  5. Adit says:

These planes are going to be a massive money sinkhole and probably hamper the elite during their ‘looting’ campaigns, which should be good for us. More than likely they will be incredibly complex and delicate to maintain (which is a design feature not a bug) so that the arms manufacturer will make a fortune in maintenance contracts. If the US were to get in a real war which lasted more than a couple of months, these things will be sitting in their hangers broken down because they won’t be able to keep them in the air. Something this complex depends on a highly interdependent supply chain which probably has dozens of choke points any of which could bring it all to a halt. That is the problem with these ‘Technological Miracles.’ The more complex the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

  6. Sam says:

While I understand the sentiment I personally hope these can be made to work. We may need them after the Jew gov. falls. I took the trouble of looking up who runs Lockheed. Female business type. Knows nothing about aeronautics, electronics, etc.. I believe that this is the reason American business is failing. Used to be engineers running tech businesses. They used to have some idea of what was possible. Now all they do is look at spreadsheets. Numbers are important but knowing what the numbers mean or what they are measuring is even more important. Notice China is run by engineers.

    • Mr. Rational says:

Notice China is run by engineers.

A lot of Japanese execs are engineers too.

If Shakespeare were alive today, he’d write “First thing, let’s kill all the lawyers and Harvard MBAs.”
