Hillary Clinton violates Godwin’s Law, calls Putin Hitler; Putin responds

Hitler is no longer just an individual who has died; it is an office, like Prime Minister, or President . . . or Chancellor. Who has held the “Hitler” office? Saddam Hussein, not once, but twice! Akhmedinajad. Gaddafi. Assad. Just about every Israeli leader has been called Hitler or Nazi by other Israelis. And now Putin.

Like racist and Federal Reserve Notes, the hostile elites get hold of some lever over us and they use that lever to death, until it doesn’t work any more.

Buy War Bonds and get drafted to go fight Hitler VIII! He’s just as bad as Hitler I! Worse! (wait, worse? No Marty, no one was worse than Hitler I because the Holocaust!)

Here’s some terribly persecuted Jews in Moscow under Putin — start at 41 minutes if it doesn’t start automatically:

In March, Hillary Clinton compared Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggression towards Ukraine to that of Adolf Hitler before World War II. Putin responded to the comments on Tuesday.
“It’s better not to argue with women. But Ms. Clinton has never been too subtle in her statements,” said Putin. “When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong, but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.”
Clinton is not the only one who made the remarks. In Canada, a Jewish woman told Prince Charles how she fled Poland during World War II when he told her, “Putin is doing just about the same as Hitler.” He was referencing Russia’s hostility and annexing of Crimea from Ukraine. Putin said these remarks were not “royal behavior.”

“Who has held the “Hitler” office?”

    Don’t forget Slobodan Milosevic!

Decades ago, Lech Walesa made a similar quip. A Western feminist journo asked him if he likes women being in top positions. He smiled devilishly and said “well, sometimes.”

“When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong, but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.”

Nice re-frame. He just called Hillary Clinton a weak woman, I can’t imagine hitting her at a more insecure spot, as her whole schtick is being a “strong woman.” That had to hit a nerve.

The Daily Mail story on this little contretemp between Putin and the wicked witch called Putin’s remarks sexist. Now, if he had commented on her fat ass, that would be sexist. Or not.

    • Erin says:

It doesn’t matter what the daily mail says. WE are the social commentators now.

This article started my day with a laugh!

    • Mike says:

Any criticism of ol’ pantsuits is going to be called sexist. I’m surprised they didn’t accuse Putin of the high crime of “bullying” the poor dear.

“Ms. Clinton”?? Mistranslation I guess or did he confuse them with the Gores?

    List of post-Hitler Hitlers:

Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, Slobodan Milosevic, Saddam Hussein, Muammar Qaddafi, Mahmud Ahmadinejad, Muhammad Omar, Augusto Pinochet, Enrique Massera, Roberto D’Aubuisson, Efrain Rios Montt, George Papadopoulos, Nicholas Makarezos, Evo Morales, the residents of San Juan de Laguna collectively, Gabor Vona, Valerian Trifa, GD collectively, Norman Finkelstein- assistant Hitler, Ricardo Balbuena De Spirito, to be continued……

    • Jon says:

You forgot Assad. That twit that got his clock cleaned in the pre-Euro election debate against Farrage pronounced it, ‘Ass-ŭd instead of correctly as Ah-‘sahd. The former pronunciation is an highly specific if not sensitive marker for Neocon foreign policy position.

      • Pure Evil cont. says:

Haha! Right, I did forget him, but there are so many Hitlers to count! Yeah dude, pronunciation is a Neocon marker, ie; Sad-um instead of Sa-ddahm and Aamuh-dinuh-jaad instead of Ahmadi-nejahd.

Slight correction on my list above; the Peruvian Hitler is Ricardo De Spirito Balbuena. And add Martin Quispe to the list as well.

      • Jon says:

I should narrow it to say that such pronunciation is only Neocon marker with ultra-high specificity of politicians, as some peoples’ regional dialects favour such non-standard phonetics. But Bush was educated at Yale and Clegg at LSE and should bloody well know the standard way to pronounce Arab names. They do that obviously only to demonise the Neohitlers and it was quite satisfying to see Nick Clegg’s clumsy attempt to do so fall flat (as did most of his non-sequiturs, genetic fallacies and guilt by association talking points did in the debates with Nigel Farrage).

      • mindweapon says:

The Neohitler — I like it!

Neocons re-enacting WWII against neohitlers. Trying to keep the glory of D-Day alive, on dozens of hapless tinpot dictators who get the Hitler title. Only Saddam held the Hitler throne twice in one lifetime! Saddam was Hitler IV and VI! Milosevic was Hitler V.

We should do an image thing like they show the presidents from Washington to Obama. From Hitler I to Assad, who is Hitler the VIII, and Putin, who is Hitler IX.

      • Jon says:

Sorry, I meant to say Cambridge, not LSE.

  8. Mike says:

Hey, Mindweapons, this is off topic. My HP Laptop is starting to crash, in the market for a new one. I’m thinking about getting an Apple for my next one. I know you’re a tech guy, do you think Apples are better than the IBM/Windows kind? Kind of a broad question, but thought you may have some insight.

She didnt violate Godwin’s Law, she demonstrated it.
