R. D. Steele predicts large-scale social change

Amazing! The Mindweapons idea has already been done by R.D. Steele! He even uses the term Open Source Intelligence! Wow! We will chew on this for a while — I am reading R.D. Steele’s online works and will be posting about him in the near future. I encourage others to read up on him and comment here about his writings and ideas.
Big hat tip to commenter fnn for pointing me to this!

What was startling? That he did something controversial, or that the paper was interesting?

3000 words is too many. I see a lot of intellectual masturbation from this guy. Maybe he wants his smart badge or something. Is this Steele dude a revolutionary? Is he going to help it along? Or is he just trying to show how clever he is?

    • zhai2nan2 says:

Steele’s writing style has been affected by his professional history.

If one spends too many years writing documents that match dysfunctional specifications, one’s writing style becomes dysfunctional.

Incidentally, I don’t recognize Mindweapon’s new avatar. I assume it is some intellectual hero of Europe?

        Zhai2nan2,

So you are the vulture of critique? My friend from the South Pacific? Good to know! Glad you got yourself a wordpress blog! You publish great stuff!

My new avatar is Thomas Robert Malthus.

  2. Great stuff. It’s the CIA. After they shot Kennedy Truman penned an article in the Washington Post calling for the operations arms (i.e., assassinations, torture, drug dealing, terrorism, etc.) to be demolished and the agency returned to its role as Truman intended it: decision support.

Recently I watched a great documentary on the Sicilian mafia in the USA. Former NYC Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was a key player taking them down and he said they had infiltrated the legitimate government and civil society more than any other criminal group had. But that is only because the CIA is considered “not a mafia” because it’s basically the WASPs. The Bush family, Yale’s Skull & Bones, various powerful family clans in America. And just like the Zetas in Mexico, they have built up a huge empire based on financial scams, drug trafficking, and terrorism.

Alt-righters like to talk about the Federal Reserve but they can only talk about it in the context of Ron Paul style “hard money libertarianism” which totally blinds them to so many other alternatives. If you’re still an economic libertarian, goldbug or not, I urge you to read Secrets of the Temple by William Greider for a populist/left of center critique of the Fed system. Pay close attention to how the Fed changes the balance of power between debtors and creditors under the guise of “objective” technocracy. Libertarians understand this is a “rigged” system but want a technocratic, as opposed to social, fix. This is that knee-jerk universalism so prevalent among our people, that you can set up a system of rules and then it doesn’t matter who you plug into the leadership roles. Human societies don’t work like that.

    Steele says:

Believe it or not, 95% of what we need for ethical evidence-based decision support cannot be obtained through the secret methods of standard intelligence practices. But it can be obtained quite openly and cheaply from academics, civil society, commerce, governments, law enforcement organisations, the media, all militaries, and non-governmental organisations. An Open Source Agency, as I’ve proposed it, would not just meet 95% of our intelligence requirements, it would do the same at all levels of government and carry over by enriching education, commerce, and research – it would create what I called in 1995 a ‘Smart Nation’.

I read this as calling out the CIA from the perspective of the Pentagon. The Pentagon is saying that they don’t need the CIA/Bush family mafia/Iran Contra American version of the Zetas for “ethical evidence-based decision support” in implementing the policies of the democratically elected government.

There’s also another element to this; NSA vs. CIA. In the internet age, NSA style wiretapping and signals intelligence just beats the pants off of guys like Richard Fuisz, the prototypical American James Bond/wealthy businessman Playboy type under tied to an embassy.

    Steele says:

merchant banks led by the City of London have conspired with captive governments to concentrate wealth and commoditise everything including humans.

The Rothschilds plus the aristocracy of the British Empire is what gave birth to the modern City of London/Wall Street financial power. It’s a power configuration that has lasted a few hundred years. Recently, they did an analysis of corporate ownership, and what do you know, there’s one big intertwined group – “the 1%” – and two subsidary nodes based in China and Arabis.

Some cultural systems are based on secrecy and some are based on openness. Much of our economic system is based on rent-seeking and artificial scarcity. But it’s evolved into a monster; the GMO corn system in Iowa, the New Jersey “flavor companies” and a financial system that barely bothers to pretend it follows the law.

But he’s a utopian, so what we prepare for is to take advantage of these open systems for our own selfish benefit. The only way you can survive in a world with 10% sociopaths is to think like them and stay one step ahead

      Hipster,

About 200 years. Nathan Rothschild was the first big Rothschild, and he was doing his thing with the Napoleonic wars exactly 200 years ago. Before the Rothschilds, there was some Jewish manipulation of course — the Amsterdam Jews supported Cromwell’s regicide and revolution, but they were kept under pretty tight wraps.

Yep, exactly, Hipster. Good stuff bro.

      • moishe says:

agreed also, one must study sociopathic people/groups (any example come to mind?????) – intelligently decipher their neuroticism and then own them…..

    • Sam says:

I have I have read Secrets of the Temple by William Greider and agree with you on Libertarian misunderstanding. I used to be one myself.

The Federal Reserve is an logical monstrosity that is fundamentally unsound. For example how is money made. Debt is issued then money printed. Say you have one million dollars printed but have to pay back 10%. Where do you get the extra interest. More debt. It’s unsound. You can NEVER pay off the debt. If you paid off the debt you would have zero money.

Gold is no better. There’s only so much gold but innovation is infinite. An example. Sand is virtually worthless but a crystallized sand sliced and with minute amount of impurities becomes microprocessors. Value has been created yet no more gold is mined. Money can be infinitely expanded “IF” it is matched by productivity and innovation. Please don’t counter with the price of gold going up to meet productivity. This doesn’t work because the wealthy can hold gold for long periods manipulating the price. This lowers liquidity causing a squeeze on money. The recent commodity corruption cases should be informative.

There’s no reason that all money “minting” or “printing” profits should not go to the populace or society that create it. In the example above of sand becoming more valuable a portion the profits of the factory go to private entities. The interest on building the factory. If we “the public” have to back this money up with our taxes why shouldn’t we get the profit from this interest. It could be used to cut taxes. Some people say by a vast amount. I’m not sure what that amount is but Ron Paul got the FED to admit they lent out 16 Trillion dollars at essentially zero interest to large banks. What if all of this went to production of factories?

It’s my belief that all the free money given to the banks was used to buy “everything”. This is exactly what happened in Germany. Exactly. They seem to be playing by the same rules every time.

One thing you can count on. The Jews are stuck. They don’t yet have the power to take over everything and their machinations are becoming ever more noticeable every day. Open source internet intelligence is eroding their power base. If they do decide to take over it would be very tricky. They could loose it all and be set back hundreds of years if not forever.

        +1

They’re just a financial version of the mafia.

    • HappyAnon says:

It’s easy to say the NSA are ahead right now, but the CIA are experts in infiltration, subversion and murder (if necessary).

      I wouldn’t bet against Langley, long-term.

    • HappyAnon says:

It’s easy for the NSA to have the smartest computer nerds in America staring through their Coke-bottle glasses yukking it up about how much internet traffic they snoop.

The CIA’s response? “We’ll kill you all.”

      I know who I’d bet on. 😉

  3. Oh, it’s probably not a coincidence that he wrote a book about “deception” and “9/11.” Shades of Michael Scheuer.

  4. The national security state works for the City of London and Wall Street – both are about to be toppled by a combination of Eastern alternative banking and alternative international development capabilities, and individuals who recognise that they have the power to pull their money out of the banks and not buy the consumer goods that subsidise corruption and the concentration of wealth. The opportunity to take back the commons for the benefit of humanity as a whole is open – here and now.”

Wall Street is being toppled by technology – it’s based on secrecy and the internet is making everything open. Something like bitcoin makes much of what Wall Street does just unimportant. At this point, our City of London/Wall Street system is a drain on the real economy, openly parasitic. But it’s functions are no longer secret and the rest of the culture has caught up with their technology.

I agree with the recent sentiments expressed that if the culture restores peasant farming – local control of the food system – much of the rest of the corporate system becomes obsolete and more human scale.

    • zhai2nan2 says:

I support locavores, artisanal farming, etc. But I don’t think we should call it “peasant farming.” A “peasant” is someone who is socially inferior to the aristocracy. Perhaps “yeoman farmer” would be better.

      • HerewardMW says:

“Yeoman” I like this and I thik we should use it in preference except where we’d rather people underestimate us.

The snobs in the City aren’t going to sick the authorities on us if we’re just a bunch of peasants – they like the idea and might even chip in some funds on environmental grounds. On the other hand; those yeoman farmers, better have a close look at them, Officer

      • zhai2nan2 says:

That’s a good point. I’m very out of touch with Western etiquette and mores, since I’m writing from Taiwan, a place where military service is somewhat like college – it’s expected that everyone will attend, but no one will be surprised if you don’t learn anything. Sadly, Taiwan does not have much of a gun culture.

      • mindweapon says:

Yeoman farmers are radicals. I havne’t met a single one who wasn’t a radical. THere’s something about that kind of work that does it to you. I think you feel like you are responsible for the Earth, rather than the government being responsible for it. Farmers see that government is doing a bad job stewarding the Earth and the population, banking is simply predatory, and it pisses them off.

Here’s a nightmare scenario for the government:

        1. High Food Prices.

        2. Millions take up small scale food production and become radicalized Yeoman Farmers.

        3. These millions take up a huge chunk of the market share in food, tobacco and alcohol and thereby take away a chunk of the influence of corporations, and they bring government to heel, or overthrow it altogether.

Millions of yeoman farmers means lots of trading among ourselves, and lots of exchange of knowledge and lots of political organizing. It means partying like it’s 1799.

Any political office will be hotly contested, and there will be a spotlight on politicians that never turns off. Like I said, High Food Prices lead to the Nightmare Scenario.

Only Panem et Circe keeps the torches and pitchforks at bay.

I’m glad you agree with this, Hipster! It’s what I’ve been saying since 2000. WN’s back then thought I was a crank.

Since then, I have trained myself in food horticulture, and have come a long way. I know what foods are staples, and how to grow them and how to preserve them I know how to get tiny seeds to sprout and grow, which is no small feat. I know how to amend the soil with locally source materials. I believe we are going to have to resort to human shit for fertilizer, by the way.

Producing your own food, and raising high investment White kids, is as hard core as WN gets, in my opinion. Of course it’s not violent or explosive, so the action movie indoctrinated minds out there don’t get it.

  5. Attila says:

All of these big-system theories can be quite interesting -but I am afraid any change will come when a critical mass of nobodies starts doing what they think they need to be doing at the MICRO-level. Where you shop for food, how much water you use when you brush your teeth. how often you get together to sing or play music, how many credit cards you’ve shredded ,etc. etc. As the Prophet of Islam says- “The world won’t change until you start changing.”

  6. Smiley says:

“What I see happening is an end to national dictat and the emergence of bottom-up clarity, diversity, integrity, and sustainability.”

“An Open Source Agency, as I’ve proposed it, would not just meet 95% of our intelligence requirements, it would do the same at all levels of government and carry over by enriching education, commerce, and research – it would create what I called in 1995 a ‘Smart Nation’.”

I hate to say it, but these particular quotes strikes me as complete pie in the sky at best, and complete horseshit at worst. They absolutely ignore the importance of race and its role in “sustainability” of the nation, let alone a “Smart Nation”.

“Bottom-up” puts the solution to our problems in the hands of the masses, which are unfortunately, usually idiots, especially if we factor in racial “diversity”.

The article is interesting, but IMHO, “open source” would be the rest of the world riding the coattails of Aryan man until our altruistic genetic character was used to exterminate us. Open source is only a viable solution when it is made FAO… FOR ARYAN ONLY!!!

Aryan salvation will come from the top, in the form of a leader of our people, but only after a spiritual cleansing the likes of which the world has never seen. Racial purity of blood and its survival is the key. This is the message that I spread every day as a contemporary heretic.

    • mindweapon says:

I don’t think he means racial diversity. More like intellectual diversity.

I think a Smart Nation would actually be good for us, because the mandatory diversity bullshit is stupid and everyone knows it.

To have Smart Nation, you need freedom of thought. That’s what he’s arguing for. Freedom of thought is good for us, believe me.

  7. Stary Wylk says:

For those of you who favor him, Robert Heinlein wrote a utopian novel, “For Us the Living”. It was written before 1939, yet only published so recently that the paperback I found at a thrift shop was in nearly new condition What’s relevant here is that the government issued money, itself, to create the purchasing power to buy the new wealth made by industrial civilization. He spends several pages and an appendix to demonstrate the utility of this. Banks were required to have enough money on hand to satisfy all their depositors all the time. Taxes were only levied to discourage things, like the “sin tax” on cigarets. Every legal resident got a cut of the new money at monthly intervals; enough to .live on frugally. No AFDC etc.

  8. Stary Wylk says:

Human shit as fertilizer is why the Chinese cook everything they eat. How about this process?
    Shit to digester.
Digested contents to trench in your fallow field right after harvest.
    Bury it.

There are dozens of hippy sources on how to make a digester.

    • Mr. Rational says:

If you pasteurized your digester effluent (solar heat?) you could probably quit worrying about pathogens.  That would let you apply fertilizer while plants were growing and avoid having your nutrients run off with the snowmelt or sink below the root zones.
