“Feminism is a sexual strategy”: Inside the angry online men’s rights group “Red Pill”

Salon made the mistake of actually extensively quoting Red Pill memes, particularly:

alpha fux, beta bux

and then explaining it!

“In Praise of the ‘Beta Male,’” when a reader wrote to tell me that I was inadvertently supporting the “alpha fux beta bux” argument. I don’t think that’s true, although I can see why he believes that: I wrote about how I’d ended up with a nice guy after years of casual dating and flings. If you’re already convinced of the “alpha fux beta bux” maxim, you’re likely to see my settling down as a desperate ploy to attach my pathetic, aging self to a beta provider.

I’m pretty sure this is our own Hipster Racist quoted here:

“Feminism, liberalism and modern egalitarian delusion means that you’ve been brainwashed and that eternal truths about women, formerly known to men and taught to them by their fathers or by friends, are now hidden. This is why you must take ‘red pill.’ The modern totalitarianism depends on you being dominated and scammed by women.” What are these eternal truths about women, you might ask? He quotes German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer: ”Women in truth exist entirely for the propagation of the race, and their destiny ends here, they live more for the species than for the individual, and in their hearts take the affairs of the species more seriously than those of the individual. This gives to their whole being and character a certain frivolousness, and altogether a certain tendency which is fundamentally different from that of man; and this it is which develops that discord in married life which is so prevalent and almost the normal state.”

Salon has inadvertently offered the Red Pill to fence sitting Salon readers.

  1. Erin says:

The privileged lefty writers are lazy. The only way they can come up with anything “new” and edgy is to grecycle (h/t FP) stuff from the naughty “racists” and “sexists”. Fun stuff!

  2. Ryu says:

Extremists set the agenda. An extremist has nothing to learn from a moderate, but the moderate has to go extreme to make any progress.

  3. MW.Anon says:

On a related topic, given how hard the establishment is trying to catch up to online discourse, everyone should be aware of SMISC.

    http://georgewashington2.blogspot.com.es/2011/07/pentagon-seeks-to-manipulate-social.html

Essentially it’s an automated trolling system designed to manipulate social media, blogs, and forums by attacking dissenters, hijacking discussion, and promoting the establishment narrative.

Please keep SMISC in mind when viewing any and and all online posts.

  4. Not me. Not that I disagree with the sentiment, but I was “red pill” ever since my high school girlfriend went and flirted with some fat loser guy just because he was cocky and arrogant. It didn’t take long to figure it out. Of course, I abused the power by sexing up 20 something girls before I had my first real adult job, and then doing it all over again in my late 20s. I can actually name 35* of the women I’ve had sex with and give you details about them. About 15 or so are sort of hazy memories of drunken hookups in college dorms and a few extremely wild NYC nightclubs

I have never referred to myself as an “alpha male” – probably more like the “goodlookingloser.com” guy. Except I don’t really consider myself a loser either. I’m very educated, made six figures, have traveled around the world and survived three terrorist attacks.

Fuck it, I am an alpha male.

I only post on reddit’s TheRedPill because it drives mega traffic to my blog (50k hits over 3 days) and I post on the feminist groups, TheBluePill and PurplePillDebate, because I have a sexual fetish where arguing with women turns me on.

Look – they said it openly. Birth control “liberated women’s sexuality.” What that means is they just want to have a good time getting fucked by a lot of guys. The “cock carousel” as they say. So, being the nice guy that I am, I gave them – a whole lot of them – exactly what they wanted.

Now at the height of my “marriage market value” I’m looking for a nice virgin church gal. These ladies have the “alpha fux beta bux” strategy – I have the “slutty flings and virginal rings” strategy. All’s fair in love and war, right?

It’s not men vs. women, it’s beautiful vs. ugly. Sexual liberation means good looking people get whatever the hell they want and ugly boys get porn and ugly girls get cats.

Works for me. Hey, don’t blame me, I didn’t *force* your daughter to carry around condoms in her purse.

    * Hipster Racist is a fictional character

    • If my comments seem incongruous, remember that Tracy Clark-Flory, the author of the piece, made her living blogging about her hook-ups – not that different than me (except I do it for the enlightenment of the reader, not filthy lucre.) She peaked when she wrote a piece where she claimed to have hooked up with her “favorite male porn star.” It was a terrible experience, she was mocked around the internet, and then shortly thereafter she found herself a “nice guy” to marry.

      From two of her articles:

I wrote about how I’d ended up with a nice guy after years of casual dating and flings. …

And what sort of “nice guy” did she wind up with? Well the sort of nice guy that camps out with transsexual activists and Jewish lesbians, of course:

The time he cited something from bell hooks and was scandalized that I hadn’t read it. Then there’s the story he only got around to telling me the other day about this one time he ended up camping out at “an activist trans farm in Tennessee” with some friends who self-identified as “Jewish dykes.”

Like “Christian wife” Jenny Erickson, Tracy Clark-Flory is the living embodiment of everything the manosphere complains about. The problem, according to Tracy Clark-Flory, is men – of course. Here’s the problem:

What I learned is that it all comes down to something really pretty simple: the toxic belief that sex is something that men must get from women.

She is right that there is a common attitude that sex is something that “men must get from women” – it’s true, but the reverse is just as true, women need to get sex from men. And liberated sluts like Clark-Flory will get sex – lots of casual hook ups and flings – then settle down with guys who hang out with transsexual Jewish lesbians. Hey, everyone is happy, right?

It’s part of why men have been trying to control women’s sexuality since always.

She is wrong here, of course, men have always tried to “control” women’s “sexuality” because men want to know if that baby is actually his. Only in the post-birth control era can you divorce “sexuality” from “fertility” – which causes hormone-addled women like Clark-Flory to overestimate the value of her vagina and underestimate the value of her uterus.

Of course, like the good leftist commissar that she is, Clark-Flory decides she and her rabid feminists co-horts must “fix” men:

Changing these men starts with fixing that mentality

You know, women are always trying to “change” a man, then once he’s changed they don’t like him anymore.

Thankfully, Clark-Flory then signs off with a delightfully subtle way of saying “ignore everything I just said, I’m just a stupid girl who can’t think logically.”

TheRedPill mentality is both marginal and completely culturally entrenched.

I’m sure she didn’t get the irony when she wrote that, after all, she’s just a woman, thinking with her feelings (and her clit.)

Thankfully she’ll likely never breed. It’s self-correcting problem.

If mocking silly girls like her makes me a “misogynist” then fine, because I totally get off on it.

      • mindweapon says:

What a bizarre sentence! I guess she means it’s marginal because the cool kids who write for Salon don’t agree with it; it’s culturally entrenched because the other 99% of the world agrees with it.
